Go Ahead, Make the Other Dolls Jealous
The Blabla Dolls
Favoritism. It’s the dirty little secret that no parent would ever fess up to. That’s right, not even on True Mom Confessions. “We love all our children equally” is our mantra and we’re sticking to it.
Now if only our kids could be so fair-minded. Instead, favoritism runs rampant in the nursery. Toddlers in possession of a Blabla doll don’t think twice about treating the soft, colorful and delightfully whimsical Blabla like it’s Joseph of “Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” renown.
It breaks a parent’s heart to see the other dolls go unloved and unplayed with. Darling, won’t you at least try this other doll, you plead. But no dice. Oh well, at least you can feel good about the fact that your baby prefers a doll that’s knit by Peruvian artisans from handpicked cotton. Life may not be fair, but trade sure can be.
